Operative dentistry

The subject of Operative Dentistry encompasses the specific disciplines of restorative dentistry and endodontic. It is the art and science of the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and prognosis of the defects of the teeth.

The department of Operative Dentistry at IMDC, has highly qualified and skilled faculty members and is fully equipped with state of the art facilities for students and patients. The department is offering four years postgraduate and four year undergraduate operative dentistry training programs to the students of IMDC. The faculty is committed to improve oral health of community through preventive and restorative services. A separate paediatric dentistry clinic has been established to provide oral care to children. The faculty is actively involved in preclinical and clinical training of undergraduate and postgraduate students. For preclinical training the department maintains a fully functional phantom head laboratory.
