MBBS Programme

At Islamabad Medical & Dental College , the curriculum is designed around the objective of teaching not just factual information, but also its application. It incorporates a breadth of knowledge encompassing various areas, while ensuring that the student is not overburdened unnecessarily.

The curriculum strictly follows the guidelines provided by the Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. It integrates all related sciences to promote complete understanding of the subject matter, and later on its practical application towards the solution of real-life problems.

Scheme of Professional MBBS Examinations:

Examinations are in accordance with PM&DC guidelines and are conducted by University at the end of each academic year.

  • • Throughout the medical course the percentage of pass marks in each subject will not be less than 50% - i.e, 50% in theory and 50% in practical.
  • • No students can be promoted to the higher, classes unless he/she passes all the subjects of the previous classes.
  • • No sludent should be eligible for a university examination without having attended 75% of the lectures, demonstrations, tutorials, and practical or clinical work both in-patients and out-patients
